Nakamura Gakuen was founded in 1954 by pioneer woman teacher Haru Nakamura. She was 69 years old, her ideals of education she had fostered passionately through the years culminated in this new beginning. In the post-war era of recovery and economic growth, she advocated foremost for education as ever. Mutual respect that binds people, this heart-to-heart “bond” is the bedrock of our education.
