Visiting the library

Library card (Student ID card)

Library card (Student ID card) is necessary to use the services. Please handle with care your card through graduation in and out of the library. In case of loss, please apply for a new as soon as possible.

Reading and borrowing

Reading

Read library material at convenience. Please keep the arrangement and return material to the shelf where you removed it from. In the reading corner please put back material to the stacks.

Borrowing

Please show your Library card (Student ID card) at the check-out counter along with the book/books. Return the borrowed book/books by due date.

Graduation thesis material

Graduating students can borrow material for 30 days upon presenting the required form.

Off-campus borrowers

The borrowing period can be extended.

Return

Please return material at the check-out counter by due date. The library will impose overdue fines in proportion with the delay, and restricted future borrowing.

Reservation

Please reserve material at the counter for your priority.

Renewal

Please ask for renewal at the counter with the material and Library card (Student ID card) before due date. You can renew two times, but have to wait if it is reserved.

Material search

The library has over 200000 volumes. You can search either at the stacks or by using computer terminals.

Copy (fee-based for students)

Copy machine is provided for school employees and students (fee-based) separately. Please do not use copy machines for school employees and refrain from copying non-library materials.

Interuniversity service

Interlibrary loan and copy of material located at other universities can be requested. Please contact the counter personnel.

Purchasing requests

Please request material either online or by filling in the form available in the Browsing Room. The library will notify upon arrival.
