At The Institute of Preventive and Medicinal Dietetics food and health related scholar activity has been taking place since its establishment in April 2004 for the benefit of the society.

The organization consists of Molecular Biosciences, Nutritional Epidemiology, Biological Sciences and Human Nutrition and Food Sciences research areas. The research activity is intensified on specialization as well as incorporates all areas, and blends organically basic research with experimental study.

On the basis of academic exchange agreement with Shanghai University of Chinese Medicine, food and health related international joint research activity has been conducted bridging the theory of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.

A considerable part of the research laboratories’ work takes place in the framework of industry-academia-government cooperation joint research projects. The operation of the institute is generously supported by the society through the help of many.
