Development Support Center was opened in 2008 with an aim to conduct researches on the development of children and its appropriate support, and create new approaches in education. Parents and educators are facing problems at home and school and trying to find the way to understand the behavior of children and how to deal with them in this society where the environment surrounding children is going through drastic changes. In contrast with programs offered by municipality which aims to promote exchanges and gathering at local facilities, Development Support Center intends to pursue support programs to promote learning and education, by drawing on the advantages as a university and utilizing the material (facilities, educational equipments and etc) and human resources (professionals in a wide range of areas, students and etc) of the university. For example, the center organizes courses on child nursing and workshops for parents and children that are specialized and practical, or provides consultation on child development, with the cooperation from the researchers within and outside school.
