The department has a history and past results to be proud of since the foundation of Nakamura Gakuen, and has produced quality manpower.In recent years the necessity of dietary education has increased, and the dietitian career is attracting attention afresh.

We teach knowledge and skills of food products, nutrition, human body and health, cooking and preparation and hygienic management as well as provide practical training, experimentation to suit the dietitian profession’s needs. Of course, to be use of in the working world, we have PC skills, English conversation and general education in the curriculum.
By completing the course, a career at a child-care center, health-care facility for the elderly, hospital or in the food business becomes possible for the work-ready dietitian. In addition to the dietitian license and the food specialist qualification, transfer to the Faculty of Nutritional Sciences of our university is also a possibility.

As with three years work experience after acquisition of the dietitian qualification, it is possible to take the national registered dietitian state exam, our department offers supportive courses to our former students.
